A Custom Knit Scarf For Dana

A couple weeks ago, I got an email from a woman named Dana, asking if I could knit something for her husband. I was unsure of my ability to do it at first, but quickly got over it. I got three skeins of Vanna's Choice in the Chocolate colourway that evening, and got right to work. It only took me a couple days of active knitting to get it finished, but it still took a little while to get it done.

What she asked for was basically a cowl with a scarf attached. Her husband had worn one in a photo shoot, and loved it. She wanted it reproduced for him. I think overall, I did a fairly good job. It's not quite perfect, but I'm really happy with it.

It used three skeins of Vanna's Choice, held double throughout, for a total of 510 yards. I am up to 2637 yards for the year, only 3810 behind! I have a few bowls to be felted on the go which will help me move ahead a little bit. I mailed out the wholesale orders yesterday, so now I can fully devote myself to knitting, and I couldn't be happier. I'm not going to be doing any craft shows for a little bit, which is good. I need a little bit of down time.
